Download Mimac during the launch window and it stays unlocked for good, at no cost. Afterwards it is a one-time purchase. Either way there is no subscription, no account and nothing that renews.
Mimac for iPad
Free
While we launch. Unlocked on every iPad signed in to your Apple Account, with nothing to buy.
Afterwards: $49.99 once, for people arriving later- Not a trial. There is no clock running and no feature held back. Download it while the window is open and it is simply yours.
- It keeps working after the window closes. The App Store records which version you first downloaded, and Mimac unlocks itself on that basis. Nothing to register and nothing to keep hold of.
- Every future update included. There is no version 2 upgrade fee coming. New features arrive as updates to the same app.
- Family Sharing. Up to six people in your family group share the one copy.
- Mimac Connect for Mac is free and has no license check. Install it on every Mac you own.

How the launch offer works
Download Mimac from the App Store while the launch window is open and install Mimac Connect on your Mac. That is the whole thing. No trial clock starts, no session is cut short, nothing is held back, and you are never asked to buy anything.
When the window closes Mimac becomes a one-time $49.99 purchase for people arriving after it. Your copy carries on exactly as it is. The App Store tells the app which version you first downloaded, and anyone whose first download falls inside the window stays unlocked permanently, on that iPad and any other signed in to the same Apple Account. There is nothing to register, no code to keep and no account to lose.
We are doing it this way because a remote desktop app has to prove itself on your own network and your own Mac, and a seven-day trial is a poor way to find that out. Early users who put up with a version one get to keep it.
What it costs afterwards
$49.99, once, with every future update included. There is no version 2 upgrade fee planned.
Why one price, not a subscription
A remote desktop app does its job on your own hardware, over your own network. There are no servers to pay for, so there is nothing to justify a monthly fee. The subscription alternative for this kind of setup costs $79.99 a year; a lifetime license from the VNC-based incumbent costs $179.99. One purchase of $49.99 is less than a single year of the former and less than a third of the latter, and it never renews.
The trade-off is honest too: one price means Mimac has to keep earning new customers by being good, rather than by billing old ones. That is the deal.
What is not included
- Support for iPhone, Vision Pro and Intel Macs, none of which exist yet. If any of them ship, they arrive as free updates.
Refunds
Nothing is charged during the launch window, so there is nothing to refund. Once Mimac is a paid app, purchases and receipts are handled by Apple and refunds go through reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple decides those requests; we cannot see or override them.
On a new iPad
Sign in with the same Apple Account and open Mimac. It unlocks itself. If it does not, open Mimac's settings and tap Restore Purchases, which re-checks both a purchase and a launch-window download. Family Sharing groups are covered too.
