No. Mimac Connect needs Apple silicon (M1 or later) for its low-latency HEVC encoding. Intel support is not planned.

Not yet. Mimac creates one virtual display sized to your iPad. Other displays attached to the Mac keep working on the Mac, but the iPad shows only Mimac's display.

Open Mimac's tuning panel and switch Pinch delivery to Control+scroll. Mimac normally delivers pinch as a native macOS magnify gesture through an undocumented interface; when a macOS update changes it, the fallback keeps zoom working until Mimac Connect updates.

Nothing. No accounts, no servers, no analytics, no crash-reporting SDKs. Video, audio, clipboard, input and microphone travel only between your own devices, end-to-end encrypted. The full policy is short.

Check that Mimac Connect is running in the Mac's menu bar, that both devices are on the same network or the same Tailscale tailnet, and that the Mac is awake. If macOS asked about incoming connections for Mimac Connect, allow them. You can always type the Mac's address instead of waiting for discovery.

macOS occasionally resets these permissions after an update. Approve them again in System Settings → Privacy & Security. On a headless Mac, do it over macOS Screen Sharing from another Mac, which is why we suggest leaving Screen Sharing enabled as a fallback.

It is an optional installer component; run the Mimac Connect installer again and tick it. The install restarts the Mac's audio system for about two seconds. If it is installed but absent, restarting the Mac restores it.

No. Mimac creates its own display at your iPad's exact resolution. If you have a dummy plug from an earlier setup, remove it; it gives the Mac a second, differently sized display that only gets in the way.

On the Mac, click the Mimac icon in the menu bar to see paired iPads and forget any of them. On the iPad, swipe a Mac in the host list to remove it. Pairing again takes a new six-digit code.
